just washed and dried all of mine. 158 pairs of lovely satin and nylon panties. Full briefs, satin string panties and bikini style. 5 satin bras with different cup sizes. 5 half slips. 4 pairs of nice stockings. A lovely white frilly pettycoat. 8 nightgowns or teddies.

I would say that I have around 25 pairs of knickers including g-strings, full bottom, hi-cut, silk, polyester, lace and satin, 6 teddies and 7 nightgowns. I am continually on the lookout for more exiciting as well as value for money getting more satisfaction with the added bonus of showing to my partner when I get them, sometimes, when she goes shopping, she will bring back a surprise for me, maybe feeling guilty on buying more clothes for herself. wink

A little over 100 pairs, although it would be a lot more but I really haven't shopped for some time. As they have worn out I haven't been replacing them, the low rise styles just didn't fit well and the loss of nylon panties effect my shopping as well. I should get back out there, I miss shopping for lingerie.

To paraphrase that media mogul of 150-odd years ago, Horace Greeley, "Stockpile, my 'young' man, stockpile!!" There's a lot of better things that were made in the not too distant past, that are a lot more fun than what's au courant, and when you happen to run your current batch of pretties into the ground, you can then dip into your stockpile cache. Even today, there's still enough current stuff under production, that mimics what was made Forty-Plus years ago, so get it while you can, before it all vanishes.

right around 200 pairs at this time. takes up 2 full draws. I have a couple dozen night gowns full length and in both short and long sleeve. another 10 pairs of full length pants liners and some petti pants in different lengths. a few cami's as well.

I try to keep my collection at around 50. I love to buy, so at times it grows. I have decided to try and keep only the ones that I wear on a regular basis, and to discard the ones that are less practical. I used to have around 200 and decided that I didn't want to hoard a stash.

I have a couple of basques, teddies and corsets. I agree they're not soft but there is still something very sublime about wearing any lingerie.

Mostly my collection consists of bras, panties, garter belts, stockings, baby dolls, cami, and other assorted lingerie (eg garter skirts, lace/sheer pj pants, etc).

Hmm, Cee-Ess-Arr, seems to me that there already is an Online Pantie Exchange, and that it's done with money/cash, rather than direct barter, and it's called . . . what else(?) . . . eBay.

Now, what could really improve our lot, as pantie collectors, is for all other Lingerie Merchants and Manufacturers, the Lingerie Industry as a whole, to follow what's happening, what's trending on eBay's Lingerie and Undies Categories, rather than what the Kardashian hoes, Lindsay Lohan, Bill Clinton, and George Clooney are wearing.

I do know that, from a few years ago, that in Alameda County, California in particular, that under County Health Law, that thrift store operators can no longer accept underwear, sleepwear, nor fitness wear, garments worn directly next to the body.

Can anyone else of you, share your region's guidelines for lingerie donations to thrift store operators?

Maybe about 20 years ago, many jurisdictions commenced the ban of the resale of any kind of undergarment, be they men's or women's, asserting that these items, in spite of laundering, present Health and Hygiene "Hazards". In addition, they are now concerned about people's allergies to synthetic fabrics, as most items donated to thrifts can lack the labeling stating fabric composition. This ban would include nightgowns, pyjamas, and athletic clothing--any item worn directly next to the skin/body.

And probably depending on the area that one lives in, customers and checkers alike, could have issues with guys purchasing lingerie for themselves, as those communities and "charitable" organizations that run the stores, will be "old fashioned" and of a Fundamentalist bent. Nosy busybodies. If they suspect a man is buying the stuff for himself, they will pass negative moral judgments, and may even rat you out to the local LEO's/LEA's. They probably may have a special alcove for women's stuff, yet I know you'd probably tell them that you were getting the stuff for your wife, anyhow. In these communities, and they probably still do exist, they'd frown upon a man buying this stuff for his "girlfriend", "daughter", and-or "niece". Stick with your "wife", or possibly your "invalid mother".

If that kind of a "Health and Hygiene" ban doesn't exist in your area, then they (Salvation Army, Goodwill, your local Hospice Thrift Store Outlets, e.g.) ought to have at least few racks devoted to Lingerie. These places are the largest, with probably the broadest selections of all kinds of stuff. Just slow down, take your time, and triple-check everything. And, you've probably scoped out all the thrift stores in your area. Garage/Block Sales and Flea Markets also will be good alternatives, along with Estate Sales' of the recently departed.

Lastly, religiously comb the Vintage Lingerie Listings on eBay and-or Etsy, as I do. That's about as anonymous as it gets.

I have one chest (6 drawers) full of panties. I lost rack of the count, but I must have several hundred pair. I have another chest (5 drawers), 2 drawers for bras, one drawer for camis, one drawer for garter belts and nylons, and the last drawer for slips. The rest of my lingerie (mostly baby doll style PJs) in kept in three under-bed storage boxes. Of course I've always loved shopping for lingerie and always will. At the rate I'm going, I guess I'll need to rent some off-site storage somewhere.

WOW! LPB, way to go. you have me beat. I take up 3 plus drawers with nothing but panties and petti pants, pants liners. my closet, I now have about 2 dozen night gowns for bed time. almost all Shadowline lingerie. full length and some babydoll length. I find sleeping in panties a gown very sexy and comfortable. The wife has said stop buying you have way too many panties. I know, but is there anything like buying a new pair of panties, especially retail. I love shopping and asking a sale woman for help finding a panty.
