I suppose I owe my enjoyement of lingerie to Sears and Roebuck. As a young boy I was always fascinated thumbing through their catalogs. And as often I was usually drawn to the lingerie section. Seeing those lovely women of all shapes and sizes in the prettiest silkiest attire would get me excited to the point that I knew I had to know what it felt like to wear such things. Thus set in motion a life long affinity to connect with that side of myself that has been predisposed to things feminine.
The sections besides lingerie, that I liked, were the firearms and knives. You can't fid that stuff, now. And, before the 1960's, I believe you could see Italian Stiletto-style switchblades, in the S & R catalog, from Italy.
Breeze, I hope you know I was just kidding about the Sears Catalog. I used to buy panties from Sears Mail order. The old VIP Panties were great.
Love that avatar. I love those large double fabric gussets.
Of course I knew you were kidding!; I just wish, of those catalogues that were almost as thick as phone books, that the whole catalogue were devoted to lingerie!!
I've got all kinds of pix--panties mainly, good panties--that I'll be rotating in and out, as my avatar, especially as long as the PFM Pix Section is down.
I think we all owe a debt of gratitude to the good people at Sears - I'm sure it wasn't what they intended, but it certainly got a lot of use in my house.
