Panties For Men

While lingerie shopping for myself at various retail stores, I’ve had many different reactions from female strangers who were shopping there.  I could also talk about interaction with male lingerie shoppers, but I think that should be on a separate post, so as to keep this post from getting too long. 

Any conversation with those shoppers has always been imitated by them, not me.  Those interesting interactions of course are impossible to have if shopping online.  That is why I prefer in-person shopping to online shopping, and will shop online only if an item is unavailable locally.  I simply love to interact with others, even if the interaction is hostile.  I guess I’m just a born extrovert.  My wife is a valuable source of information that I use whenever I’m mystified by some of the reactions of female shoppers to my presence in a predominately female setting.

The first type of reaction of female shoppers, which is rare, is a somewhat hostile one.  As my wife explained, their hostile reactions can be divided into several different categories:  #1, they might think any man in the lingerie dept. is automatically a pervert.  #2, they might be a man hater and don’t want to be near any male, and therefore regard the lingerie dept. as “sanctuary”.  Closely allied with this group is a sub-group that believes a male has no right in ‘their’ area.  Occasionally, women have contacted store/mall security concerning a male “trespasser” in the lingerie dept, meaning me of course.  The security people explained to them that I had just much right as they did to shop anywhere I pleased.  Did something happen while I was sleeping last night?  When I went to bed, Target, JCP, Kohl’s, Macy's and the like were considered ‘public’ spaces, except for the dressing rooms of course.  #3, some women think cross-dressers (M to F) are mocking or making fun of women in general.  #4, maybe they just want privacy.

The second type of reaction I’ve run into is one of female shoppers simply ignoring me or even moving to a different display or temporarily leaving the lingerie dept. altogether.  Could be any number of reasons for that type of reaction.  If no verbalization happens, then I can form no opinion(s). Facial expressions alone, although they tell a lot about what a person is thinking, are considered by me as "not enough evidence upon which to form an opinion".

The third type of reaction is the one I enjoy the most.  That’s when the female strangers will engage in conversation (‘panty talk’) with me.  Some of them have even opinionated about what panties they thought would look best on me, or asked my opinion about what I think would look best on them.  Some of them have actually held certain panties up to their waists or to my waist.  When this third type of women are shopping two or more together, that’s when things really get interesting.  According to my wife, it’s the ‘safety in numbers’ thing which emboldens them.  They will start flirting with me, some groups even turning ‘panty talk’ into ‘talking dirty’ to me.  After all, women are into things of prurient interest just as much, or maybe even more than men.  On one occasion I accepted the offer of a ‘date’ from a threesome of female shoppers, which I believed would be ‘just lunch’ together at a nearby restaurant.  I insisted several times during lunch that I wanted it to be ‘just lunch’, but they kept trying to push boundaries further, even hinting at me “rendering some services” for (or to) them to pay them back for picking up the tab.  I often wonder what would have happened if I would have caved in to their constant boundary pushing.
