The Walmart I worked in had a tradition every Halloween you were allowed to be in costume. Pictures would be taken and posted for all employees to see and vote for your favoeite costume.
One halloween, a co-worker named Joe, real name, came fully dressed as a female. He wore a black skirt, a white blouse, nylon stockings, possibly pantyhose, and make up. He came in second, although I voted for first.
Joe told me a few things about his family, that he had a sister and a gay brother. One day in walks this lady that looked a lot like Joe. I thought it might be his sister. It turns out that this lady was Joe. This is whoo joe was and to my knowledge still is. I said to him, I wish that I were gay, because I would have dated him. Our employes were pretty much split as to were he was acceptable. Some were comfortable with him, while others detested his wearing of female clothing. And of course there were those who told Joe to his face that they had no problem with the way he chose to dress. But, behind his back they made fun of him. Some of the women were envious of Joe because he did an outstanding job of applying his/her cosmetics, where they weren't as good at it.
Joe told me that his parents wouldn't accept his cross dressing, but they readily accepted his brother's homosexuality. Go figure.
I wonder how my co-workers would feel if they knew I was wearing panties every day? Joe's friends accepted him. Too bad all person can't be tolerate of others, wether they be cross dressers, homosexuals, etc. What a better world it would be.
