I know at least, that "Panty John"(??) makes his own pretties, of all the Forum Members, who have discussed and touched upon this subject.
Who else here does, and can you tell us the results of your efforts?
Do you take "already-mades", like I usually do, and modify them further? I measure, mark, cut, then sew, all of my creations by hand. The "raw" pantie at hand, serves as a pattern, in itself. I'll buy my wares, ranging from on-size, to radically oversize, and cut my panels down to what's theoretically optimum, for delivering the maximally reasonable snugness, with the best "play" of fabric, for that proactively maximum whallop of softness, whether I move about, get blown about, or, if I'm extra-sensitive, and being at rest, and letting the subtle vibrations of my circulatory System do all the work--that's rare, but it's sometimes like "gilding the lily"!
Or do you start absolutely from scratch, using raw yardage of your fave fabric; elastics on a roll; "raw" laces, & other decorative elements; patterns of your own making and-or pre-made, store-bought patterns; and, special threads and needles?
Others of you may have mastered sewing machines. Tell us where and how you mastered the use of a sewing machine, and what make and model of machine that you perfer, perhaps where you bought your machine, and why you like your machine, if you choose. Can you recommend a machine that's easy to learn, needs a minimum of accesories, and is easy to store? Can a "self-learning-type" of person, like myself, teach themselves how to use their machine?

Good AM, I have had little luck with panties but converting tanks into thin strap camisole garments has worked ok. I work with a lady at the cleaners and she modifies the straps. I need to lear to sew.
It's really not so hard if start with a pair that's fits you nice, simply deconstruct that pair and make a pattern, I like to cut them at the crotch and up the middle of the rear, place the folded side on some fabric so the folds of the panties match the fold of the fabric, cut along the edge leaving about a 1/4 inch for seam allowance, then just sew the rear, then the crotch, fold over the waist and leg seams insert elastic, or I like to use a fold elastic for added decoration.
